BIO
Ericka Lyda began her piano journey at the age of six, guided by her father, a musician and composer, who nurtured her innate talent. After moving to Los Angeles, she attended Alexander Hamilton Academy, a performing arts high school, where she majored in music and graduated with honors. She then returned to Chicago to pursue her formal music education at Columbia College, earning a BA in music. In 2007, Ericka founded Piano Fingers Studio, where she teaches and mentors aspiring pianists, ranging from age three to adults.

"We met Mrs. Sandru and Piano Fingers around 2017. My daugther Matri is on the Autism Spectrum and we were taking a Speech Pathology class in the same building. Matri issue is getting her interpersonal thoughts and feeling out. And bringing life into fruition. Piano Finger was literally, down the hall. We enrolled and Mrs. Sandru has not given up on keeping Matri focus. Matri has been taught numerous song and has participated in all of Piano Finger recitals. Not only that, Piano Fingers have invited us to the Museum of Science and Industry, we saw the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the Apostolic Church of God and even attended a festival at the same Church, we rode in Mrs. Sandru car in the annual Hyde Park parade. Throwing candy out of the car window to the kids and adults. All of Mrs. Sandru student are special in their own way. But, I give a great big thanks to all of extra work she puts in for my daughter.
